Chipotle, a California-based international Mexican restaurant chain, with more than 3,200 outlets, has opened a shop at 630 Woodward Ave. in downtown Detroit near Cadillac Square.
The store is next to Shake Shack, a New York-based hamburger chain.
The shop is occupying a space owned by Dan Gilbert's Bedrock.
Chipotle has more than 50 locations in Michigan.
