KeJuan David Deshaun Hedwood, 20, of Detroit, has been charged in last month's fatal stabbing at a gas station in northwest Detroit.

Authorities allege that on July 16, around 3:40 p.m. police were dispatched to a gas station store in the 17800 block of West McNichols where they found Gregory Gibson, 32, suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Gibson was transported to a hospital where he died.

Authorities allege that a verbal altercation resulted in Hedwood stabbing the victim with a pocketknife. Hedwood was arrested Tuesday on a charge of first-degree murder.

He was arraigned Friday afternoon in 36th District Court where a $1 million cash/surety bond was set.
